I want to welcome you to the first blog of the Glass City Screenwriters.
My name is Virginia Shine and I started this group a couple years ago to get feedback and to gather writers and filmmakers in the Toledo area. The group meets locally on the Third Thursday of the month at the Oregon branch library, we also have meetups at local coffee shops and other locations on Saturdays. If you join our Facebook page you will find the details for these meetups.
I intend to grow the online presence of the group so that we may connect and help share information further than our current reach. A writer or independent filmmaker outside of Los Angeles or other big film city has unique challenges getting things produced. Gathering and sharing information is the best way to grow, learn how to make things happen and to produce better films.
