This is the month of transition. Not quite winter, not quite spring. What I usually do this month is start the early seeds for my vegetable garden.
Like the tiny seeds, when starting a new life or career, it takes time. The right conditions are important to grow healthy and happy. I think for writing it important to remember that it does not matter how much time it takes, it takes what it takes.
It’s another matter when you are on a deadline, but like a 48 hour challenge, a deadline inspires creativity!
This month for our Third Thursday meeting, it is time to talk about loglines and pitching again. The dreaded sales tool for writers to get someone interested in their screenplay idea!
Of all the things we learn in our path to success, the ability to be good in a room may be the most important to any type of career. Personally this may be my biggest struggle as a writer.
The Facebook event will be created soon, I ask that everyone bring one logline or pitch (or more). We will most likely still be on Zoom, but as the weather improves we may meetup at a Metro park or other outdoor location we can safely distance at.
Happy writing, see you soon!
