THE QUIET TIMES

It’s fun to post and talk about milestones and accomplishments in our writing and filmmaking careers. They can be small things like completing a draft, or big things like releasing a film, or selling a script. We should celebrate, share with our community and support each other.

Like most jobs, daily life is fairly quiet but busy, filled with the work required to push that rock up the hill again and again. This quiet can be filled with a mix of emotions when waiting to hear from a contest entry or a meeting you thought went well, but maybe it didn’t?

No worries though. If you love the work, moving on to the next project on your list is the best way to keep the passion alive. It’s not about the external reward, well it shouldn’t be. We all need to make a living, and being creative can be your side gig with the potential to be lucrative.

April 19th 12:30 pm is the next Oregon library meetup. If you didn’t know, most times we meet on the third Saturday of the month for our open to the public meetup. Come check us out!

Bring your work in progress this month and we will table read and discuss. This group is the supportive community you’ve been looking for. Our local group is a great way to make connections and hold yourself accountable to making those writing and filmmaking goals happen. Every little step counts!

See you soon,

Virginia
