The long month of January is almost over. How are those goals for the New Year going? If I had a graph of my creative activity for the month, it would look like a mountain range. Full of craggy upshots and valleys of quiet meandering. Our monthly Zoom was a nice break to share experiences and reinforce the need to carry on in these self-isolating times.
Sundance Film Festival is under way currently with a mostly online experience. Ohio is lucky to have one of the few independent theaters with in person screenings of some of the premiere films of the festival. The Gateway in Columbus is a fine theater near the Ohio State University. GCSW members plan to attend a film at the festival. Some of the talks are free online this year, make sure to absorb the knowledge others give, always something to learn!
Work continues compiling information as a resource for screenwriters and filmmakers in the greater Toledo area. The plan is to use this information as a subscriber giveaway to grow the group in the future. If you have any feedback or information to share for this, please send us a message or email.
Stay strong out there, we will see you at the February Zoom (Third Thursday).
