The start of a new year mostly feels like a fresh start to remake ourselves and tackle goals with renewed motivation. Do you have screenwriting goals? Writing goals down on a list helps us stay accountable, make small ones that lead up to the big ones, just keep going!
Our monthly meetup is set for January 22, 2022 at 1:00pm at the Oregon Branch of the Toledo Lucas County Public Library on Dustin Road in Oregon, hope to see you soon!
At the last meetup we spoke briefly about starting a group project again. Working as a team, those interested will work on developing an idea into a short film or pilot that is geared toward local accessible locations and a small cast so it will have the best opportunity to be produced. If you are interested in being involved bring ideas with those parameters in mind, it will be fun! Think of it as a 48 hour type project.
We all deal with the hard realities of life that take us away from our creative ventures. During these times you may not have time to do what you want. In these times, let life happen, do your best, maybe journal your experiences. Things that happen, good, bad, ridiculous, or other, will end up finding their way into your writing. That is the wonderful thing about writing, each person lives and experiences life differently. We can all learn from reflecting on our lives and the lives of others.
Don’t be too hard on yourself if you set up those goals and don’t nail the timeline. Just keep working on them at your own pace. Goals are ongoing, not yearly New Year Resolutions to try and fail at. Keep writing my friends!
