In the middle of summer, in the middle of turbulent times in our country. No matter how things change or stay the same, writing can help you express or exorcise your deeply held beliefs. It is important to use your voice for causes that are important to you. Creating a screenplay that can bring ideas forward, even if they are hidden in subtext, is a powerful mechanism for change.

The summer blockbuster is back? This summer in Toledo is the last year for our beloved Sundance Drive-In. The property is for sale and apparently the lease is not being renewed. If someone in our group chat wants to arrange a drive-in movie night, that might be a fun farewell.

At the last meetup we played with the Readthrough website. You can upload a script and it will add voices to your characters and read it. Such a helpful tool for writers and readers! Actors are still better to hear perform the script, but there is a feature to record lines which will be interesting to try.
